MY FAITH LOOKS UP TO THEE

(Prov 27:19)  As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.  To paraphrase, this verse basically says, One's heart is reflected in one's life even as one's face is reflected in water.  So Whatever pattern a man establishes in his heart, becomes the pattern of his everyday life.  Thoughts lead to behavior, and leave their marks long after such thoughts have left.  If we want to regain control of behavior, we must begin by changing our thoughts established in our hearts.

Know where your mind is moving you.  If you thin k you are a failure, and you keep telling yourself you are a failure, you are going to move yourself that way. If you allow your thought life to be one of depression, you move yourself in that direction. If you allow your thought life to be one of anger, you move yourself there. If you allow your thought life to be obsessed with certains kinds of fantasy, it is going to impact your sense of reality.

Maintain control of your mind to maintain control of your life.  The enemy has forever targeted the "playing field" of your mind and imagination:  (Deu 29:19)  And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

The imagination of our hearts, apart from Christ Jesus, is going to tend toward evil. Our minds just dont instinctively think pure, great thoughts. They need some working on:  (Phil 4:8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
