Psalm 119. The glories of God’s word. With 176 verses, it is the longest chapter in the Bible. Every verse mentions the word of God under one or another of these names: Law, Testimony, Judgment, Statutes, Commandments, Precepts, Word, Ordinances, or Ways except for verse 90, 121, 122, 132. It is an acorostic or alphabetic Pslam, having 22 stanzas. Each Stanza has 8 lines, each of the 8 lines beginning with the same letter. |
